For Our Mother’s Day…..

“Mandy is a mother we can boast of with love, pride and honour.  She kept the family together in good times and bad, guided us through our problems, was strict at times, yet gave us the freedom we needed to grow and make our own decisions in life.  She had a moral sense of right and wrong.  She had a sense of humour. Dad tells us he has never heard her speak ill of anyone.

Everyone loved Mandy, and Mandy loved everyone.”

~Written By Marilyn Joyce (Townsend) Farthing (1948-2012)

“The words about Mandy, our mother, are so true, but we also remember how Marilyn, as the eldest of 7 children, took over the mothering duties in an instant, often, whenever called to duty.”  ~ Pat Convery

“They were both great women. And there are still a great line up of Townsend mothers out there now
. Happy mothers day to all of you, old and young.” ~ Jim Townsend
